"Lead Me to Her Grave"

"Lead Me to Her Grave" is the result of a story needing an idea and an idea that needed a story.
It began as a period piece ghost story about a young man in south Alabama in the early 80's haunted by his dead girlfriend. But, after the girlfriend appeared, the story went nowhere. A story is supposed to have a beginning, middle, and end. So far, my story had only a middle (the girlfriend appearing).
Enter the idea. I had an idea, years before, about a vampire that would embrace all the contradictions shown in the portrayal of vampires in literature and cinema.
Now that the girlfriend has become that vampire. After that change, the beginning and ending pretty much wrote themselves.
